Donald Johansen
President and Chief Investment Officer, has more than 30 years of investment experience including
- Vice President of Dean Witter Inter Capital, managing a large convertible securities and common stock mutual funds
- Director of Quantitative Research and Portfolio Manager for Sears Investment
Management
- Manager of the Pension and Profit Sharing Funds of Chicago Bridge & Iron
Don is a graduate of the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business Administration. He is also a graduate
of Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science in Structural Engineering.
He has served as member of the Board of Directors and the Investment Committee of the Lutheran Home of Arlington Heights, Illinois.
He has also served as Trustee, Elder, Council Member and Officer of various Lutheran Churches through the years. He has also been
an active member of the Exchange Clubs of New Canaan and West Hartford, Connecticut.
Judy Havard
Vice President, has more than 20 years of investment experience, including:
- Partner, Birchwood Consulting, providing investment analysis services to
institutional clients
- Vice President, co-managing a small cap value stock fund at JP Morgan Chase
Asset Management
- Associate Director managing a convertible securities portfolio at Mass
Mutual Insurance Company
- Senior Investment Analyst for the Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and
Insurance Company
Judy received her B.A. in Economics at Trinity College in 1984 and the CFA
designation in 1987.
Judy serves on the Board of Arts for Healing (integrated music and art therapy
for the special needs community) in New Canaan, CT
Harry Hitch
Sub Adviser to Johansen Group. Mr. Hitch has a professional designation, Chartered Investment Counsel, which was conferred by the Investment Counsel Association. Prior to forming his investment counseling firm, Harry was a Portfolio Manager
with the investment counsel firm, Scudder, Stevens & Clark in New York City.
Harry has served as a Director of the Rita Allen Foundation; Deacon of the First Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Finance
Committee. He is also a former Treasurer of the Lake Club and former Director of the New Canaan Community Concerts.
